Locate Friends - Google Latitude
Google Latitude is a location-aware mobile application developed by Google. Google Latitude lets the user see their friends on Google Maps for mobile using information from their Google email account. The user can control the accuracy and details of what each of the other users can see — an exact location can be allowed, or it can be limited to identifying the city only. To ensure privacy, the application can also be turned off by the user, or a location can be manually entered. Photo Geotagging - Flikr
Geotagging is the art of adding location information to things like a photo. Some cameras have an automatic geotagging facility which assigns location information to each photograph taken, based on coordinates obtained from an inbuult GPS chip. Photos without this facility can still be added to the map manually if you know exactly where they were taken. | |
